About Me

Design and art have always been a part of my life, but I approach them in different ways. As a designer, I see myself as a problem solver—my goal is to communicate a message as clearly and effectively as possible. But when it comes to art, it’s about expression, experimentation, and letting ideas evolve naturally. Over time, I’ve found that these two mindsets feed into each other. My design work benefits from creative freedom, and my artwork is strengthened by a sense of structure and precision. That attention to detail comes from my dad—someone who can build anything and always takes the extra time to do things the right way. That philosophy has stuck with me, and I bring it into everything I create.

Where I’m From & How It Shapes My Work

I grew up in western South Dakota, surrounded by the history and art of the Black Hills. My parents filled our home with real art from well-known regional artists, and seeing those pieces every day—then later visiting the studios where they were created—left a lasting impression on me. That early exposure to art helped shape my perspective and made me realize how much creativity is woven into the world around us.

When we moved to Harrison, Nebraska, I was introduced to graphic design, and I knew instantly that it was what I wanted to do. I later attended Chadron State College, where I studied art and design, diving deeper into both traditional and digital mediums.

Where I’m from has had a huge influence on my work. Growing up in small, agricultural communities, I’ve learned that hard work and doing things the right way pays off. That mindset has carried over into my approach to design—I take the time to refine my work, focus on the details, and create things that are built to last.

What Inspires Me

I pull inspiration from everywhere—other artists, design trends, personal experiences, and music. More than anything, though, I’m driven by the idea of purpose. Every project is an opportunity to create something meaningful, whether it’s a design that serves a function or an art piece that tells a story.

My Approach to Design & Art

I wouldn’t say I have a single style, and I think that’s a strength. I love to explore different techniques and approaches, from bold graphic design to traditional western influences. My work is built on adaptability—finding the right creative solution for the project at hand.

I love seeing my work go from the screen to real-world applications, whether it’s a logo, a brand identity, or a piece of art on display. Creativity has a way of bringing people together, and I’ve found that design plays a role in how we share ideas, tell stories, and make connections. I like knowing that when people around me think about design, my name might come to mind, whether it’s for a project, a conversation, or just appreciating something creative.

Looking Ahead

Ultimately, I want to create work that lasts. I hope to build a body of design work that stands the test of time and create art that reflects who I am and how I see the world. I’d love to collaborate with other creatives, work with big brands, and continue pushing myself to grow. I’m always looking for new challenges and opportunities to evolve as a designer and artist.
