Growing up, I was constantly surrounded by meaningful artwork—pieces created by local and regional artists that told stories and sparked curiosity. My parents filled our home with that kind of work, and even though I didn’t fully understand it at the time, it shaped the way I see the world. That early exposure gave me a deep appreciation for art as something essential, not decorative.

My work is shaped by the places I’ve called home—the quiet openness of Nebraska and the rich history of the Black Hills. I draw from both design and fine art, and I see them as different tools with different purposes. Design, to me, is about communicating clearly. Art is about asking questions and inviting interpretation.

My work is a reflection of where I've been, what I've learned, and how I've grown. Each piece is influenced by a lifetime of small moments and quiet discoveries, trying to find that balance between intention and emotion.

This is what art means to me: not just something to look at, but something that invites a moment of stillness, curiosity, or connection. That’s what I hope to bring through everything I make.
