Rough & Ryot

To date, this is one of my favorite projects I have ever worked on! Sawyer came to me with a vision with a lot of different elements, and I am so happy that we could come up with this! The best part of this for me is that Sawyer actually drew the cowgirl herself! I tweaked it a little, and added some things, but it was a true collaborative effort! Combine that with some awesome wordmarks, fun icons, and a good looking color palette, this brand identity is cash money!

This is one of the bigger projects I have worked on, and there are so many cool elements.

I love wordmarks, typography can be so creative at times, and the Rough & Ryot one really showcases that western feel. When I sent it in the first proof, I made mention that I could see it as a neon sign, which would look incredible.

As I mentioned above, Sawyer, my client, actually sketched out the cowgirl. This is something I love, because now she can look at this project and know that she took part in the creative process. I am a big badge guy, so I knew we needed something to encase the cowgirl in. One big symbol in western culture is the arrowhead, and it fit so perfectly around! It ended up being the perfect look for a boutique.

The R&R icons were created mostly for the tags that go on the clothes. I decided to do a variety of shapes so that the possibilities are endless. I started with a simple circular icon, then got a little more creative. Keeping it western with a cactus design, and taking the shape of an ear tag that you find on cattle, now they really stand out!

You may have noticed the cute little doggo icon in there too. Well, that is Ryot himself! It wouldn’t feel right if we left this little guy out! I think that this icon is so fun and can be used as it’s own merch!

This project was so fun and it showcases the other deliverables that I can bring. Sometimes you need more than just a logo. Along with all these icons I provided a color palette and even paired some fonts to really tie together this as a brand. Everything here works well with each other, and it makes the combinations so endless!

A brand identity is so much more than just a logo! This is a great example of all the deliverables that you can obtain by going with a brand identity. The more the merrier!
