Among the Still
A lone bison stands grounded beneath a glowing sun—unmoved, undisturbed. This piece continues the western themes that have inspired much of my recent work. It belongs in the same family as Silent Guardians, Diamond Legacy, and Eternal Herd—works that blend simple forms with deeper meaning. Among the Still is quiet, but not empty. It speaks to a moment of reflection, a pause in the noise.
This piece challenged me in the best way. At first glance, it’s simple—but reaching that simplicity took intention. Among the Still was created during a time when I needed quiet. I wanted to explore the idea that peace isn’t passive—it’s where reflection happens. When you can find mental clarity, it becomes easier to process what you’ve been through, to heal, and to move forward with purpose.
The bison stands calm and strong, bathed in the warmth of the sun—a symbol of stillness and power coexisting. In a world that rarely slows down, this piece is a reminder to pause. To breathe. To let stillness be your guide.
